LG unveils gorgeous new HDTV models with Google TV 3 0
Google TV, one of Google’s less popular products. But yet there are still many users of Google TV out there. Some of the more popular models are the Vizio Costar and the Hisense Pulse (just announced days ago). Now LG is showing off a few new Google TV models that will hit the market next year. Before, LG only had a 47-inch and a 55-inch Google TV model. Starting next year LG will have a 42-inch, 50-inch and a 60-inch model to choose from. These new Google TV’s are also ultra-thin and use the Motorola Droid Razr M’s idea of edge-to-edge display. As you can see from the image above, there’s almost nothing but screen there.
Currently Google TV 3.0 hasn’t been detailed yet, but that won’t keep LG from touting it with these new Google TV models. So we can’t tell you what all the features are in Google TV 3.0, but be rest assured that it’ll be awesome. Although we did hear that it would include some very cool voice actions in the new version. But we’ll probably have to wait until CES next month to really know more about Google TV 3.0.

Should Google Revive the Lapdock

The Lapdock is a device which is basically a dumb screen and keyboard terminal which mates to your smartphone to create a laptop. Motorola released Lapdocks for its Atrix phone in 2010. These Mototola devices were failures, mainly due to the absence of a proper desktop operating system and high cost of the Lapdock accessory. The Asus Padfone series converts you phone into a tablet, and from tablet it can morph into a laptop.

Canonical had a similar concept in mind with its Ubuntu for Android initiative announced in 2012.

Tim Bajarin in his article, Will Your Smartphone Be Your Next PC thinks the lapdock may be the future of the PC. I think he is right.
I think Chrome for Android could be a viable Lapdock operating system. Basically, the concept would consist of:
- 11-inch to 13-inch display, mated to a keyboard.
- Battery to power the Lapdock and recharge the phone while attached.
- A docking station or cradle for the smartphone. Maybe the smartphone could even act as the trackpad.
Basically, an Android phone would be converted to a Google Chromebook.
As a counterpoint, Chromebooks are cheap, starting at US$199, and can sync with your Android phone and hence a lapdock may not be all that much cheaper.
There are advantages to the Lapdock. Chromebooks with 3G are a lot more expensive, starting at US$349. A lLapdock would use your phone 3G modem. The Lapdock would also serve as a phone charger. Useful on long trips.

Still Camera Comparison Google Nexus 4 HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4
Smartphones these days are getting to the point where everything is fast and capable enough. While buying a more expensive smartphone brings improvement in speed and display quality, these things are getting to the point that the average user cannot tell the difference all that much.
The average used wont notice the difference between the Qualcomm S4 Pro on a Google Nexus 7 and the fast Qualcomm S600 on the HTC One. The HTC has the sharpest resolution of any phone with a 4.7-inch display with a staggering 1080 x 1920 resolution. In every day use,many users may not notice the difference between the HTC One and its Full HD display and the 4.7-inch HD display (768 x 1280) display of the Nexus 4.
So while we pony up more cash for the fastest phones and the sharpest displays, more and more, the phones other features are becoming more important. Personally, the one thing I appreciate most about newer phones is better and better cameras. I no longer buy a compact digital camera, as a secondary camera to a DSLR (or DSLT).
GSM Arena has an excellent tool to compare phone camera image quality and looking for a replacement for my current phone it is a useful tool for making a buy option. The tool can compare up to three phones at a time.
Using the tool I compared the average 8 MP shooter on the Nexus 4, with the improved 13 MP camera on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the 4 MP Ultra Pixel camera on the HTC One.
Scaling the pictures down to match the test resolution of the HTC One as 3 MP, which is something you are likely to do when uploading images to the Internet or sending them by mail, the 4 MP camera on the HTC One looks disappointing, while 13 MP camera on the Galaxy S4 produced the best result.
The results are the same on the ISO 122333 Chart. The 13 MP camera on the Samsung Galaxy S4 seems to have the best low light capabilities, in addition to providing the sharpest images.
