Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi Version Available On April 10Th For 349
Dale Sohn, President of Samsung Mobile, sounded thrilled to be releasing the Wi-Fi only version of the tablet. "We are excited to have the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Tab join our growing portfolio of Galaxy-branded devices. The 7-inch Galaxy Tab is the first truly mobile tablet on the market, allowing users to comfortably hold the device in one hand while typing or navigating the Web with the other."
Loaded with Android 2.2 and equipped with a 7 inch TFT display, the tablet comes with 32 GB of internal storage that can be increased by as much as 32GB using the microSD slot.

Samsung Re Launches Music Hub App
Yesterdays tech news was largely dominated by Android, and given the successor to the biggest selling Android device to date is launching across much of Europe and the Middle East, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. In conjunction with the big launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the Korean LCD specialist is also (re)introducing its Music Hub app, which has been massively revamped in order to be taken seriously as a competitor to the popular services like iTunes and Spotify.
For £9.99 (UK) or €9.99 throughout Europe, the premium subscription services allows you to stream music from an extensive library exceeding 19 million tracks via a web browser or up to five authorized devices. Samsung has clearly been doing its homework on rivaling services, and as well as 100GB of cloud storage, Music Hub also offers custom radio stations or the ability for you to upload your own music using scan-and-match – Samsung’s take on Apple’s iTunes Match service launched late last year.
The service is built upon the technologies of Samsung’s recent acquisition mSpot, while 7 Digital takes care of providing the large catalog of tunes. Having surpassed Apple to become the number one smartphone manufacturer, Samsung is looking to deal more misery on its Cupertino-based rival, and although the Korean outfit hasn’t placed much emphasis on content hitherto, that is quite clearly changing.
Although Music Hub has been launched to purposely coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S III, it will offer compatibility with a number of older devices, including the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note, as well as Samsung’s Smart TV range amongst others.
As you would expect, it will be a native part of all future smartphones, and there will be a browser-based media player allowing Music Hub to be enjoyed at anytime, in any place, and from any device. An iOS app is being prepared, although that will surely be a difficult area to master – especially given Apple’s stance on selling similar-to-iTunes content.
Amazon et al hit a brick wall trying to sell books through iOS apps, and given the smoothness in which iTunes works with Apple’s ecosystem, it’s going to be extremely hard for Samsung to infiltrate.

New Note II ad from Samsung showcases the business side of the device VIDEO
Samsung does a great job with its commercials and the latest one for the Note 2 is no exception. Titled Office Upgrade, the 1-minute advertisement showcases the Note II in a work environment. It is filled with your typical office banter between two co-workers who are equipped with Note II handsets. One is using the phone to draw pictures and goof off, while the other is processing the quarterly earnings report. You’ll have to watch the clip to see how the slacker gets her just reward in the end.

Samsung Galaxy S4 First impression
Yesterday Samsung LEVANT held an event to introduce us to the all mighty Samsung Galaxy S4 for its first appearance in Jordan, I had a little time with the device but it was a great opportunity to mess around with it myself so here is my first impression of the device:
With a hint of the Galaxy Note II and a whole lot of Galaxy S III, The Galaxy S4 comes in as a different approach from Samsung in terms of design, What have been said about the previous models -especially when it comes to built quality- doesnt apply here at all.
The S4 -unlike previous Galaxy devices- Doesnt give you a plasticy feeling about it, if anything it gives you the feeling of a premium built product, Aluminium is a very nice touch from Samsung, Personally I hope well see a whole lot of similar materials in upcoming models,
The S4 feels very nice in my normally sized hand, even though they have hooked this beautiful smartphone with a bigger screen than the S3s, its size staid almost the same, If it wasnt for the new LED flash placement I couldve never told the difference between an S3 and an S4 flipped on the front side on a table.

The S4 comes rocking a 13MP camera, Which I found to be a whole lot better than the one I got on my Note II, but heres the thing, Its more than just megapixels, The software plays a decent role here, the camera app comes with so many features, little tweeks and effects that I would like very much to have on my Note II, it basically replaces like 20 apps people install just to mess with their photos. unfortunately I didnt spend much time on the camera but hopefully ill be writing a more in-depth piece about it if I got my hands on the device again soon.

The Galaxy S4 is one of the very few none-Nexus devices to come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, And the first Sammy device to come with Android 4.2.2 and the good old TouchWiz, and I must say... TouchWiz have grown so much ! This Sammy stock ROM has adopted the single and dual touch pull-down notification centre weve seen in the Nexus devices and added their own touch, to be honest it doesnt look as pretty as the original but its kind of more productive as theyve put every toggle you can think of in there.
Also the Settings menu has been remodelled, They brought back something I havent seen since my last Sony Ericsson device which is tabs (Check out the photo to the right). Yes we got tabs everywhere on our phones but weve got used to the long scroll down settings list that has gotten longer after all "Accounts" started to show in the main menu after the first Jelly Bean update...Stay tuned for more articles about the S4.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 0 P3110 now at just Php9 990
Out shined by the Google Nexus 7, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is now selling at a reduced price of Php9,990. This places it 4K cheaper than the Google Nexus 7 which is priced at Php14,400.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, dual core processor and 16 GB internal storage, expandable via a MicroSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 comes out of the box, with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, but is upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The 3G version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, the P3100 is available for just Php14,650, which is less than the 3G version of the Google Nexus at Php17,350.
Is the price drop enough to make you forego the HD display and quad core power of the Nexus 7?

Samsung Galaxy 5
The Samsung Galaxy 5 GT-i5503 runs on an older Android 2.1 (Éclair) OS, with a 600MHz processor. Despite an old school candybar design, it is fitted with a 2.8 inch capacitive TFT QVGA screen. Still Camera Comparison Google Nexus 4 HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4
Smartphones these days are getting to the point where everything is fast and capable enough. While buying a more expensive smartphone brings improvement in speed and display quality, these things are getting to the point that the average user cannot tell the difference all that much.
The average used wont notice the difference between the Qualcomm S4 Pro on a Google Nexus 7 and the fast Qualcomm S600 on the HTC One. The HTC has the sharpest resolution of any phone with a 4.7-inch display with a staggering 1080 x 1920 resolution. In every day use,many users may not notice the difference between the HTC One and its Full HD display and the 4.7-inch HD display (768 x 1280) display of the Nexus 4.
So while we pony up more cash for the fastest phones and the sharpest displays, more and more, the phones other features are becoming more important. Personally, the one thing I appreciate most about newer phones is better and better cameras. I no longer buy a compact digital camera, as a secondary camera to a DSLR (or DSLT).
GSM Arena has an excellent tool to compare phone camera image quality and looking for a replacement for my current phone it is a useful tool for making a buy option. The tool can compare up to three phones at a time.
Using the tool I compared the average 8 MP shooter on the Nexus 4, with the improved 13 MP camera on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the 4 MP Ultra Pixel camera on the HTC One.
Scaling the pictures down to match the test resolution of the HTC One as 3 MP, which is something you are likely to do when uploading images to the Internet or sending them by mail, the 4 MP camera on the HTC One looks disappointing, while 13 MP camera on the Galaxy S4 produced the best result.
The results are the same on the ISO 122333 Chart. The 13 MP camera on the Samsung Galaxy S4 seems to have the best low light capabilities, in addition to providing the sharpest images.
